Stripe Connect handles tax form collection. US affiliates complete a W-9 during onboarding, and Stripe issues a 1099-NEC at year end if you earn $600 or more. International affiliates complete a W-8BEN.
Your commission goes up. If a customer starts on Starter ($29/mo) and upgrades to Team ($129/mo), your commission goes from $2.90 to $12.90 starting the next billing cycle. Same if they add users, numbers, or WebConnect.
Commissions stop when you leave. There is no tail — once the affiliate relationship ends, future commissions are not owed. Any commissions already earned and confirmed are paid out on the next cycle.
